Couldn't be happier!
Posted by Rick Modlin on 14th Aug 2017
As a 50-year old professional musician, adequate light is becoming more and more important to me. Incandescent Manhasset-style stand lights have historically been my favorite, mostly due to the color of the light; and when I've needed battery-powered lights, I've used the Mighty Bright orchestra light for a few years. Another musician friend introduced me to his Lotus Light, and I was impressed enough to go with the heftier price tag and get one myself. I couldn't be happier with it!
First, it arrived fully charged -- very nice! The color of the light is warm and natural, and easy to look at for long periods; my previous LED lights had a colder bluish cast that I found fatiguing after an hour or so. I had also routinely used two of the MB lights; the Lotus Light, by contrast, has a wider element that easily illuminates two pages of music. Battery life seems to be in line with the stated specs; I've used it for a practice session, one rehearsal and two gigs now (at different illumination levels), and still haven't needed to recharge it yet. The battery level indicator is very reassuring -- another big improvement over my previous LED lights, which I never completely trusted to get me through a gig on battery-power alone. And when considering the price tag of the Lotus Light as compared to other battery-powered lights, consider also the cost savings in AA batteries, which my MB orchestra lights had gone through alarmingly quickly.
The Lotus Light is my new favorite, hands down. Well worth the price!
Won't play without it!

As a professional musician for over fifty years (50 years...yikes, are you kidding me?), I've used tons of stand lights. The Lotus Light (LL) is the best ever, in every condition. Here's my accomodation to the aging eye, besides using the LL indoors, I use it for outdoor gigs as well. It evens out the inconsistent effect of dappled shade and sunlight. The new LL with 3 settings makes it adaptable for every performance situation, and the new battery indicator is terrific. I was devastated when I left my original light at a job, ordered a new one and received it in two days, even with the added battery switch modification. Should you encounter any issue with a Lotus Light, you will receive the best and most responsive personal customer service you've ever imagined. What a wonderful company. Thanks.
Fantastic Stand Light

It is simple the best stand light I've ever used. It was recommended to me by a fellow orchestra member. It has a great battery; good travel case; the light doesn't bother other players; super easy to connect to a stand; and you'll never wonder if it was a sharp or natural sign again. Thank you!
I love this light!

Bought this light at the recommendation of a fellow orchestra member. I was hesitant to spend so much money on a stand light, but after using it, I'm very pleased.

My family uses these lights to read music in performance settings that have poor stage lighting. These lights have made an enormous difference in seeing music without any eyestrain.
