I'm at an age where I need good lighting to read music in all the dark places I find myself rehearsing and performing in as an amateur orchestral and chamber musician. I have been through a succession of battery operated stand lights which worked in varying degrees but I was tired of batteries failing and always having to carry spares around - sometimes even having to change them in the middle of a concert. So yes, the Lotus light is expensive but this light (Pro 6) finally fits the bill because 1) it has a rechargable, long-life lithium battery (it even arrived fully charged), 2) it provides hours of bright, even illumination over two pages of music, 3) it produces restful, daylight spectrum light, and 4) it is compact - not quite as small as some less functional lights, but nonetheless highly portable. The battery status light is a nice touch, and in the newest model does not flash so isn't a distraction when playing. I hope this light will have long life. Congratulations Lotus on an excellent design!

After using numerous stand light for decades, I am impressed with the Lotus Lite Pro6. Evenly floods all my music. Sturdy. Easy to use. And, best of all, fits my Nilton Magic stand perfectly - no others have done that. Bravo!!

The PRO6 is the BEST! I've used it in dark areas for 2 weeks now, and can see every note in my music across 2 pages plus outside of both pages.
